Amazon.com recently release new sales statistics that show that since April 1 of this year Kindle e-books have regularly sold 105-100 on its website. The news comes as no big surprise as Amazon has continually dropped the price of its Kindle e-reader and free e-reader applications for Amazon are now available for most smart phones as well as the iPad.
I still meet many book-ophiles who are reluctant to give up the tactile experience of reading a paper book, but those who have not at least tried out an e-reader are becoming more and more rare. Remember, reading isn’t a dying art. E-readers are just a new way to experience an old art form.
For authors, the question now becomes, should my book be published as an e-book as well as a paper book? I think the answer is yes.
